Canada Post defines Maple from Hwy 400 to Bathurst St and from Rutherford to King Vaughan Townline with postal codes starting in L6A.  However the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) has a slightly different definition.  TREB, considers the right side of Jane St. as the border of Maple and ends at the Go Train Tracks just east of BarrHill & Teston Road to the North.

Houses for Sale in Maple Ontario range from Townhouses along Jane St as well as Semi-Detached homes along the same Jane corridor and Newer Fully Detached Homes from Melville to Jane and north to Teston road.  The older 20-60 year old detached homes have larger lots with mature trees and quiet streets.  These older homes are found mostly near Keele Street.

Those looking at Condominiums For Sale now have options in Maple Ontario with the recent construction of the Bellaria Luxury  Condos and the upcoming projects near Keele & Major Mackenzie known as The Courtyards of Maple.

The community we know as Maple Ontario was once known by many other names.  The town of Maple Ontario was called Rupertsville and sometimes Nobleville.  The current name finally took hold once the Post Office was officially called Maple and opened  in 1852.

At the time, Maple had a sawmill, a photo studio, a planning mill and a rope factory.  There were also two hotels which cost only $4.50 cents  per week with an additional $0.25 cents for meals.

The number of hotels has increased and also the number of families living in the Maple Vaughan area.  a The community is now part of the City of Vaughan and in just 15 years Maple has exploded into one of the most exciting communities in York Region.
